Designed for many factory-built and home-built crank-style fish houses. Home-built frames can use different mounting patterns, cable routing and drive directions, so compare your existing setup before ordering.

Smaller-house compatibility: These winches are also used successfully on many smaller factory-built and home-built fish houses when the mounting, crank direction, cable or strap routing, and required lifting capacity are compatible. Verify the complete setup before ordering.

Important Winch Identification

DL2500A is a housing part number—not proof that a complete winch has the correct fish-house components. The older custom fish-house version used special gearing, a shorter handle and a two-way ratchet cog that holds the fish house when cranking stops. It is not a free-spool feature. Those custom winches were sold only to fish-house trailer manufacturers and parts centers.

Standard boat winches may use the same housing identification, but they are different and available only in a right-hand configuration. Confirm the gearing, handle, ratchet cog, drive direction and mounting pattern—not only the housing marking—before ordering.
