Description
ICNUTS Cordless Drill Powered Marine & Utility Winch Package – 2500 lb
Turn a compatible 18V/20V cordless drill into a practical boat-trailer winch power source. This 2,500 lb two-speed package is built for compatible horizontal pulling and trailer-loading applications, with a quick-attach manual handle included for backup operation.
Quick Buying Check
- Capacity: 2,500 lb horizontal pulling
- Winch: two-speed, current part 14825 / DLC2500 family
- Includes: winch, ICNUTS cordless-drill operating tools and quick-attach manual handle
- Strap/cable: sold separately
- Use: compatible horizontal pulling/loading only
Common Applications
Boat trailers, fishing boats, sailboats, PWC, small utility trailers, ATVs/UTVs, snowmobiles, lawn tractors, and similar rated horizontal pulling/loading applications. For boat lifts, grain augers or other custom uses, contact ICNUTS before ordering.
Boat Ramp Loading Without Engine Power Loading
At boat launches where engine power loading is restricted or discouraged, use a properly rated trailer winch to pull a compatible boat onto its trailer without driving it on with engine thrust. This can help avoid propeller wash that erodes ramps and reduce exposure to shallow-water propeller or lower-unit contact. Follow posted access rules and safe trailer-loading procedures.
A Practical Alternative to Wired Electric Boat Winches
Instead of installing a permanent electric winch motor, trailer wiring and a dedicated deep-cycle winch battery, operate this compatible two-speed marine winch using a suitable cordless drill and charged lithium battery. This eliminates those trailer-mounted electrical components and their associated upkeep. Drill and battery are not included. Use low drill speed and controlled trigger pressure; never lower a load with the drill.
Why Cordless-Drill Power?
- Uses a compatible 18V/20V cordless drill
- No dedicated deep-cycle winch battery or permanent electric-winch motor wiring
- Two-speed operation for control and pulling power
- Manual handle included for backup operation
Winch Identification
The current 2,500 lb package uses the DLC2500 / part 14825 winch family. The ICNUTS drill adapter system is also designed for compatible two-speed, quick-attach-handle winches in the older DL2000A, DL2500A and DL3200A families and newer DLC2000, DLC2500 and DLC3200 families. Some boat trailers already have these winches installed. Check the winch model, two-speed gearing, and removable quick-attach handle before ordering an adapter kit; contact ICNUTS with a photo if unsure. Other winch models are not automatically compatible.
